   Blog Post #1 Australia Day for Australians For me it’s a chance to celebrate who and what I am. I’m a first generation Australian, who has lived in so many areas! From the beach to the outback, the north to the south, but one thing remains constant… Australia is more than the Great South Land – it’s the people. Sure, many of us wear silly hats with Aussie Flags, gather for breakfasts of bacon and eggs and to watch new Aussies make their oath of allegiance… But it’s more than that. Australia is such a dichotomy. Being an Australian is hard to explain. For some, the Aussie is the laconic bushy – you know the one with the drawl, wearing an akubra and elastic side boots? Then there is the blond surfer from Bondi… He’s toned and tanned and more than likely a lifesaver too. It’s the girl in the supermarket who says hello and asks what you are making for dinner – or she’s the girl in the library who’s reading the anime comics. Aussies come
